Kurzzeichen Kunststoffe
Die Kurzzeichen für Kunststoffe basieren häufig auf den in ihnen enthaltenen Basispolymeren. Die dafür verwendeten Großbuchstaben sind in:
- DIN EN ISO 1043: Kunststoff-Kennbuchstaben und Kurzzeichen
- Teil 1 (2016-09): Basis-Polymere und ihre besonderen Eigenschaften
- Teil 2 (2012-03): Füllstoffe und Verstärkungsstoffe
- Teil 3 (2017-03): Weichmacher
- Teil 4 (2021-10): Flammschutzmittel
- DIN ISO 1629 (2015-03): Kautschuk und Latices – Nomenklatur
genormt. Sie dienen einer bequemen Schreibweise für die chemischen Bezeichnungen der Kunststoffe nach den IUPAC-Regeln. Zur Kennzeichnung besonderer Eigenschaften innerhalb einer Kunststoffklasse können weitere Buchstaben folgen.
Die Werkstoffbezeichnungen für thermoplastische Elastomere sind in:
